Vietnam visa requirements for Indian citizens

As Vietnam is not belonging to the visa-free country list of Indian citizens, all Indian citizens need to obtain Visa in order to enter Vietnam legally.

Below is Vietnam visa requirements for Indian citizens:

  1. 1 month single entry: for those who enter and exit out of Vietnam for 1 time within 30 days.
  2. 1 month multiple entries: who need to enter Vietnam for many times during 30 days.
  3. 3 month single entry: travelers/businessmen who need to stay in Vietnam for less than 89 days.
  4. 3 month single multiple entries: travelers/ businessmen who want to enter Vietnam for many times within 89 days.
  5. 1 year multiple entries: for those who need to stay for 360 days in Vietnam.

Requirements to get Vietnam visa online: passport is not required to send out, there is no document requirement for Indian citizens for online application.

Get Vietnam visa for Indian citizen online -E visa application

Currently, Indian passport holder has a right to apply both e-visa and visa on arrival.

Vietnam e-visa: available for Indian citizens who come to Vietnam by bus, vessel and air-plane.  The whole procedure includes 3 steps:

First, fill information to the online form at:
Second, receive the approval letter via email in which the e-visa code, arrival port are appeared on the letter. Importantly, different from visa on arrival, applicants who enter Vietnam by e-visa have to enter through the arrival port which matched to the arrival port on the approval letter.
Third, Print the approval letter out, prepare original passport and 2 passport photos in the size of 4x6cm.

Notice: there is no stamping fee on arrival for e-visa.

Vietnam visa on arrival: available at international airports only. These airports are: Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh), Noi Bai (Hanoi), Cam Ranh (Nha Trang), Da Nang, Phu Quoc. Advantage of visa on arrival: you can change your arrival airport after receiving your approval letter. For example, your arrival airport on your approval letter is Tan Son Nhat airport but you are still able to get visa at Ha Noi or Da Nang, Phu Quoc airport without any problem.
